Gautam has held a number of C-suite roles across different international settings. Most notably, he served as Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary for a Glasgow-headquartered technology firm with a broad international presence. Domestically, his executive experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a leading Tasmanian telecommunications provider and as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a Sydney-based M&A advisory firm.

With a foundational background forged in South East England’s competitive public practice environment, Gautam draws on a broad base of experience in corporate finance. Over the course of his career, he has led, originated or been involved in more than fifty transactions, spanning management buyouts (MBOs), leveraged buyouts (LBOs), initial public offerings (IPOs) and both buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions (M&A) mandates.

A dual qualified professional, Gautam is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK). He holds an MBA from Cranfield University, UK and completed an MBA exchange program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He also earned an undergraduate degree in Business and Management from the University of Bradford, UK.

Outside of the boardroom, he finds balance through golf, literature, and the quiet clarity of country walks.
