Bharat Joshi

Bharat serves as an Executive Director on the board of the Joshi Group, driving strategic direction across a multi-faceted enterprise portfolio spanning logistics, technology and infrastructure. Beyond his directorships, he acts as a trusted strategic advisor to multinational corporations, trade missions and institutional investors navigating cross-border expansion, joint ventures and market entry across the broader Indo-Pacific region.

A recognised authority on international trade and economic policy, Bharat holds appointments across several premier, government-led bilateral business platforms. He serves on the Australia-India CEO Forum, the India-Japan Business Leaders Forum and the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). His diplomatic and advisory engagements include serving as a delegate to the Australia India Leadership Dialogue (AILD), Delhi Chair of the India-New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) and a member of Singapore’s World Cities Summit Young Leaders network. He has led official trade delegations across Australia, Japan and New Zealand, alongside contributing to the Business 20 (B20) task forces during India’s G20 presidency.

An established author and widely published commentator, Bharat authored Navigating India: A Socio-Economic Commentary and Guide for Business in India (now in its second edition), featuring a foreword by Lord Bilimoria and an epilogue by Australia’s former Trade Minister. His commentary appears regularly across premier global media including The Wall Street Journal, The Japan Times, The Economic Times and Mint, backed by frequent appearances as an expert analyst on national radio and television broadcasts.

Bharat is an alumnus of the University of Bradford, UK and is currently completing the Owner/President Management (OPM) Programme at Harvard Business School. Passionate about fostering early-stage innovation, he actively mentors emerging ventures and served as a judge for the inaugural India-Japan Hackathon, a flagship bilateral initiative formally commended by the Prime Ministers of both nations.

Outside the boardroom, Bharat is an accomplished photographer, golfer, marathoner and triathlete. His fine art photography has been exhibited and auctioned in support of global conservation and humanitarian initiatives with WWF and Rotary.
